1. Data protection at a glance

General information
The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data includes all data that can be used to personally identify you. Detailed information on data protection can be found in the privacy policy listed below this text.

Data collection on this website
Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find the operator’s contact details in the section “Information about the responsible party” in this privacy policy.

2. Hosting

We host the content of our website on our own server infrastructure, which is operated in data centers located in Germany. The hardware infrastructure is partially provided by STRATO AG (Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin).

Processing of server log files
When you visit our website, our servers automatically collect and store information in so‑called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:

These data are not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error‑free presentation and optimization of the website; for this purpose, server log files must be recorded.

Data processing agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with the provider mentioned above (STRATO AG). This legally required contract ensures that personal data of our website visitors is processed only according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

3. Contact form and customer inquiries (Sanity)

If you send us inquiries via the contact form or by email, the information you provide—including your contact details—will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your request and in case of follow‑up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided your request is related to the performance of a contract or necessary for pre‑contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively handling inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Storage and management via Sanity (CMS)
To structure and respond to customer inquiries, we use the content delivery and management system Sanity. The provider is Sanity AS, Bakkehaugveien 16, 0873 Oslo, Norway, with infrastructure and servers located in the USA. Data submitted via our contact form (such as name, email address, message) is stored in a closed database within our Sanity project. Sanity processes data partly in the USA. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Sanity, which ensures compliance with European data protection standards through Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Registration and login area (Clerk)

To provide our protected customer portal, we use the authentication service Clerk. The provider is Clerk, Inc., 2261 Market Street #4084, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA.

When you register or log in on our website, Clerk uses necessary session cookies and modern encryption tokens to verify your login status and secure your account. The following data is processed during account creation and login:

This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure authentication structure) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if the login is required to fulfill our contractual services (access to the customer portal). Since data may be transferred to the USA, we point out that Clerk Inc. is certified under the “EU‑US Data Privacy Framework,” which ensures a level of data protection comparable to that of the EU. Additionally, mandatory EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
